Genadi Kerdzevadze has been appointed as the Head of the LEPL National Agency for Sustainable Land Management and Land Use Monitoring
The Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture, David Songulashvili, introduced the new head of the agency, Genadi Kerdzevadze, to the employees of the LEPL National Agency for Sustainable Land Management and Land Use Monitoring.
The Minister congratulated Genadi Kerdzevadze on his appointment to the new position and wished him success in his future endeavors.
“Genadi Kerdzevadze has many years of experience working in the agricultural and public sectors. Over the years, he has held various important positions and is well acquainted with the Ministry's system. I am confident that his experience will contribute to managing the agency's activities even more effectively and achieving the set goals," stated David Songulashvili.
Genadi Kerdzevadze is a lawyer-economist by profession. He has many years of experience working in both the public and private sectors. At various times, he held leadership positions in the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia, the Ministry of Transport of Georgia, the Parliament of Georgia, and other organizations.
In 2017 - 2026, Genadi Kerdzevadze worked in various leadership positions at “Georgian Amelioration” LTD, including Deputy General Director, Corporate and Administrative Director. Most recently, he held the position of Deputy Director of the LEPL State Laboratory of Agriculture.
Genadi Kerdzevadze thanked the Minister for the trust placed in him and noted that, together with the agency's team, he will actively continue the implementation of the set goals and important projects.
The LEPL National Agency for Sustainable Land Management and Land Use Monitoring carries out the inventory of agricultural land resources and state monitoring of land use. It also participates in the implementation of state programs focused on sustainable land management, soil protection and fertility improvement, as well as the management of windbreaks and pastures.
