Discussions were held with farmers in Marneuli on issues related to the restoration of windbreak belts
Paata Chipashvili, Head of the Agricultural Land Management and Protection Department of the National Agency for Sustainable Land Management and Land Use Monitoring, held an information meeting with representatives of local authorities and farmers. The meeting discussed issues related to the restoration and planting of windbreak belts.
Marneuli Mayor Daur Ismailov emphasized the importance of restoring windbreaks and noted that the local self-government will provide full support to the process.
Farmers received detailed information on the purpose and benefits of windbreak belts, as well as on the planned restoration and planting process. Particular attention was paid to mechanisms for protecting the windbreak plantings, especially the role of landowners whose plots fall within the windbreak protection zones.
In the Marneuli municipality, 314.54 ha of windbreak belts are registered with the National Agency of Public Registry, which constitutes a key prerequisite for initiating restoration and planting activities.
