Discussions were held with farmers in Gurjaani on issues related to the restoration and planting of windbreak belts
Giorgi Misheladze, Chairman of the National Agency for Sustainable Land Management and Land Use Monitoring, met with representatives of local authorities and farmers in Gurjaani Municipality. The working meeting, dedicated to the issues of restoring and planting of windbreaks, was attended by Gurjaani Mayor Giorgi Machavariani and the mayor's representatives in administrative units.
At the meeting, Giorgi Misheladze spoke in detail about the purpose of windbreak belts and the positive outcomes their establishment would bring for environmental protection and agriculture. The Chairman of the Agency explained the scope of activities involved in the restoration and planting of windbreak belts and noted that a well-planned process and active farmer involvement are key to the success of the project.
In turn, the Gurjaani Municipality expressed its full support for the project. Representatives of the local authorities noted that the municipality is ready to actively engage in the implementation process and facilitate coordination with farmers.
