Meeting in Adigeni Municipality
Giorgi Misheladze, the Chairman of the National Agency for Sustainable Land Management and Land Use Monitoring, met with Gocha Kimadze, the Mayor of Adigeni Municipality and representatives from the municipality's villages to introduce the State Program Access to State-Owned Pastures.
The Chairman of the Agency also conducted a meeting with local farmers, providing them with comprehensive information about the State Program. If the procedures and requirements stipulated by the program are met, farmers are granted the opportunity to lease approximately 5 thousand hectares of land categorized as state-owned pasture within the Adigeni municipality.
The State Program Access to State-Owned Pastures was approved on October 6 of this year. The program aims at encouraging efficient pasture utilization, safeguarding pastures from degradation and developing animal husbandry.
