An additional 116 pasture units have been included in the list of pastures to be leased through auction

Within the framework of the "Access to state-owned pastures" program, the data of the agricultural land plots of the pasture category to be leased through auction were selected and published in the second stage.

The agency published pasture data for the regions of Kakheti, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Mtskheta-Mtianeti, and Shida Kartli. The Data covers Sighnaghi municipality with 21 units, Akhmeta - 4, Dedoplistskaro - 64, Sagarejo - 12, Kvareli - 3, Akhaltsikhe - 4, Ninotsminda - 2, Borjomi - 2, Mtskheta - 3, and Gori - 1, total - 116 units.

The acceptance of applications for leasing pastures, as published in the second stage, began on June 22nd and will continue until August 5th.

On October 6, 2021, the Government of Georgia approved the state program on "access to state-owned pastures". The program allows livestock owners to secure and use preferred pastures through an auction within the framework of a three-year lease agreement. The program aims to promote rational pasture use, protect pastures from degradation, and simultaneously facilitate the development of the livestock sector by establishing legitimate private responsibility for pastures.
