Chairman of the National Agency for Sustainable Land Management and Land Use Monitoring meets with JICA and ASIA AIR SURVEY company representatives
Within the scope of the technical assistance project, Giorgi Misheladze, the Chairman of the National Agency for Sustainable Land Management and Land Use Monitoring, met with Ishii Hodzumi, the project formulation advisor from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), along with Toru Inada and Mitsunobu Onishi, representatives of the Asia Air Survey technical group.
Giorgi Misheladze briefed on current projects, addressing the issue of drawing up the land balance and the creation of a single electronic system for agricultural lands and land use monitoring. The chairman of the agency emphasized the importance of establishing a satellite monitoring system, which necessitates appropriate software and qualified personnel.
To assess the technical and software capabilities of the agency, the parties discussed short and long-term tasks. The meeting focused on the development of the agency's capabilities and the collaborative roles of the Japan International Cooperation Agency and Asia Air Survey in this regard.
The meeting was attended by Giorgi Marchilidze, Deputy Chairman of the National Agency for Sustainable Land Management and Land Use Monitoring, Giorgi Zakaidze, Head of the Strategic Development Department, and Zakaria Darchiashvili, Head of the Land Cadastre Department.
