First Deputy Chairman of the National Agency for Sustainable Land Management and Land Use Monitoring Merab Kvaraya met with the members of the delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic
Kyrgyz Republic delegation visited Georgia within the framework of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) project “Dairy Modernization and Market Access (DIMMA).
The purpose of the visit was to exchange with the Georgian side the experience of the reform carried out in the field of pasture management in Kyrgyz Republic. It should be noted that in Kyrgyz Republic, with the support of IFAD, three projects have been implemented to improve pasture management and promote the development of livestock farming.
At the meeting held at the National Agency for Sustainable Land Management and Land Use Monitoring, the parties discussed pasture management reform, its positive aspects and existing problems, tariff policy, features of taxation and distribution of pastures.
The Kyrgyz delegation included representatives of the Agrarian Committee of the Parliament of the Republic, the Ministry of Finance and the President's Administration, as well as the heads of several regional pasture committees. The meeting was attended by Paata Chipashvili, the head of the agency's targeted land use and management department, and Giorgi Zakaidze, the head of the strategic development department.
