Pasture lease applications will be accepted from August 24 until September 29, 2023

Within the framework of the State Program on "Access to state-owned pastures", the data on agricultural land plots categorized as pastures, earmarked for leasing during the ninth stage, has been selected and is now publicly available.

Pasture lease applications will be accepted beginning from August 24 until September 29, 2023.

The data is available on 208 pastures plots of Kakheti, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Kvemo Kartli, Shida Kartli, Mtskheta-Mtianeti, Imereti, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti and Guria regions. The data on pasture plots are as follows: Dedoplistskaro - 41, Sagarejo - 9, Telavi - 3, Sighnaghi - 6, Kvareli - 5, Akhmeta - 4, Lagodekhi - 5, Aspindza - 5, Akhaltsikhe - 2, Ninotsminda - 23, Borjomi - 18, Akhalkalaki - 1 , Dmanisi - 34, Tetritskaro - 2, Tsalka - 2, Marneuli - 6, Mtskheta - 1, Dusheti - 1, Gori - 4, Kaspi - 1, Kareli - 2, Tskaltubo - 13, Baghdati - 1, Van - 6, Zestafoni -1, Chiatura - 2, Senaki -2, Tsalenjikha -1, Khobi - 2, Oni - 2, Lanchkhuti - 3.

Starting from March 28, 2022, the Agency selected and made available the data on pastures to be leased through auction in eight stages. According to the decrees of the Government of Georgia #1148 of June 19, 2023 and #1481 of August 15, 2023, approval was given to lease 87 pasture plots (7,180 ha) through direct transfer of state-owned pastures and 48 pasture plots (6,667 ha) through auction.

On October 6, 2021, the Government of Georgia approved the state program on "access to state-owned pastures". The program allows livestock owners to secure and use preferred pastures through an auction within the framework of a three-year lease agreement. The program aims to promote rational pasture use, protect pastures from degradation, and simultaneously facilitate the development of the livestock sector by establishing legitimate private responsibility for pastures.
